BSc1B – Industry Research – Junior Roles in the industry

This is a collection of data I found looking at some Junior roles in the industry, using gamedevmap

Key part of some of these requirements is that you can not only evidence work on some projects but illustrate an understanding of certain programming languages as well as certain concepts in programming and maths as well.

The work varies between games where you’re either working to produce a game to ship or work on providing updates post-launch.

I also messaged sketchbook games about what they were looking for when hiring programmers, and I heard back from Mark Backler.

“worked on cool projects (whether personal or professional) and have either a good CV or online presence”, to me means project work I can evidence that I’ve done either in my own time, in group projects such as game james and even work experience would be excellent for helping me stand out and be chosen. Good CV or online presence, a CV where I can show my education and work experience as well as my project work is key.
